This selection of stories are from Thompson-Setons best known work Wild Animals I Have Known. This work was the first in a new genre of realistic wild-animal fiction. It became one of the most popular books of its day.
The stories depict animals, especially predators who were often demonized in literature, as compassionate individualistic beings.
Illustrated, with four full page illustrations by Thompson-Seton.
CONDITION
In original publishers cloth binding. Externally, generally smart with bumping to the extremities as well as to the spine. Patches of light rubbing to the head and tail of spine. Internally, firmly bound. Offsetting to endpapers. Pages are generally bright with occasional light spots.
